Whoever thinks that tequila doesn't belong in a martini is missing out on the good things in life. We love a classic margarita like everyone else, but this festive martini lets the tequila shine.

Instructions
The sugar-rimmed glasses are essential for this cocktail. They instantly elevate the drink in just two easy steps.
Pour superfine sugar on a small plate and rim the edge of the martini glass with a lime wedge.
Invert glass on top of sugar and twist to coat. Turn glass back over and set aside until ready to fill.
Fill a shaker with ice. Add tequila, pomegranate juice, and Grand Marnier.
Add lime juice and grenadine.
Shake for at least 30 seconds and pour into prepared glass.

Ingredients
- Superfine sugar and lime wedge for rim
- 2 ounces tequila
- 1 ounce pomegranate juice
- ¾ ounce lime juice
- ¾ ounce Grand Marnier
- Splash of grenadine

- Prepare the glass by rubbing edge with lime wedge and coating in superfine sugar.Superfine sugar and lime wedge for rim
- Pour all liquid ingredients in a martini shaker filled with ice and shake well.2 ounces tequila, 1 ounce pomegranate juice, ¾ ounce lime juice, ¾ ounce Grand Marnier, Splash of grenadine
- Shake for at least 30 seconds and strain contents of shaker into prepared glass.
- Garnish with lime twist and serve immediately.
