Ingredient Notes:
Blueberry simple syrup: Using the blueberry simple syrup instead of simply muddling blueberries gives the drink great blueberry flavor and gorgeous color.
Lime Juice: Freshly squeezed lime juice is an absolute must for a quality mojito.
Rum: White rum is the best rum for mojitos so use your favorite brand. We love Plantation Rum.
Club Soda: Use a quality club soda for the best cocktails. Our favorites are from Q Mixers and Fever Tree Mixers.

FAQs
Blueberry simple syrup is a simple syrup that has been infused with blueberries. You can either buy it in the store or make your own at home like we did!
It's easy! Place ½ cup of sugar and ½ cup of water in a pan and add 8 ounces of blueberries (fresh or frozen). Heat until sugar is dissolved and blueberries start to break open (about 10 minutes). Let cool for 15 minutes and pour through a fine-mesh strainer to remove blueberries. Refrigerate until ready to use. The syrup will keep for about a week in the refrigerator.
Yes, you can! There will be a couple of differences in your drink, but it will still be delicious. The blueberry flavor won't be as prominent and the color of your drink will be pale pink instead of the vibrant red/purple from the syrup.
You can, but it won't be a mojito. This drink tastes equally delicious when you swap rum for vodka. Bonus points if you use blueberry vodka.
Expert Tips for the Best Mojitos
✔️ Muddle gently! If you muddle the mint too much it will make the drink bitter.
✔️ Only use fresh lime juice. Bottled lime juice contains preservatives that alter the taste of the juice. Fresh is best.
✔️ Layer fresh blueberries and mint in the glass for garnishes to make it look bar worthy.
✔️ White rum is the best rum for mojitos. Save the dark rum for a Rum Sour.
✔️ Use lots of ice. Cold drinks are the best drinks.
