    Ingredients

As with most classic drinks, the ingredient list is short and sweet.

    Text with ingredients for Cosmopolitan.
    • Citrus Vodka - this is a must for a Cosmopolitan.
    • Cointreau - we prefer this orange liqueur in a cosmo, but you can easily sub in triple sec or Grand Marnier.
    • Lime Juice - fresh is best! It takes minutes to squeeze your own juice and is well worth the effort.

    Instructions

One of the most important things about making a good cocktail is proper measurements. Don’t try and eyeball the amounts use a jigger for the best martini

Step 1: Fill a shaker with ice.

Step 2: Add Citrus vodka, Cointreau, fresh lime juice and cranberry juice.

Step 3: Shake vigorously for 30 seconds to 1 minute to ensure everything is combined.

Step 4: Strain into martini glass

    FAQ

What is the difference between cranberry juice and cranberry cocktail?

Cranberry juice is 100 percent cranberry juice that is a little tarter than cranberry cocktail. Cranberry cocktail often has other juices mixed in with it so it is a little sweeter. Use whatever you prefer or have on hand.

If the plain cranberry juice is too tart for you, you can always had a little simple syrup to sweeten it.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Cosmos are an easy drink to make ahead of time. Simply add all of the ingredients to a mason jar or large pitcher (depending on the quantity), cover and refrigerate.

When it’s time to serve them, remove them from the fridge. If you have a pitcher, stir it well to combine the ingredients.

If you're only making a few drinks, fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour the contents of the mason jar into it. Shake vigorously to get the drinks really cold and combine the ingredients.

Do I need any special equipment to make martinis?

The easiest way to make the best martinis is to be sure to measure your ingredients and shake them until they are ice cold.

Really yummy. Live that it doesn’t taste like alcohol and live the tart flavor. So good.
