Homemade soup is a classic comfort food. We all love it, especially on chilly days. But a lot of people don’t make it at home because they think it’s too hard. That’s not true! Making flavorful soup from scratch isn’t hard, especially when you use a few shortcuts like we do. (Spoiler alert: we love to make soup in our slow cookers!) Crockpot Soup recipesOne of our favorite ways to make delicious soup at home is in the slow cooker. It simmers all day and creates a rich, flavorful soup without having to sit and stir a pot for hours on the stovetop. Plus the house smells amazing! Slow cooker soups are great if you’re having a bunch of people over but they’re also a great make-ahead option for a quick and easy weeknight dinner. With so many different types of soups in the slow cooker – split pea soup, butternut squash soup and even Italian Wedding Soup – you’re bound to find a new favorite.

Easy Green Salad recipesSure, it’s easy to grab a bagged salad from the grocery store when time is tight. Bagged salad kits are super convenient but they sometimes lack in flavor. Making your own salad at home takes nearly no time and is usually healthier for you than whatever you buy at the store. We love making our own salads and salad dressings because we customize them with whatever we have on hand. Plus salads go with just about any meal so you’re never at a loss for what to serve on the side.
