    FAQs

Can this drink be made as a mocktail?

While we love a good cocktail, not everyone wants alcohol in their drinks but still want something fun to sip on at a party.
Elderflower tonic is readily available at the stores. Simply replace the liquors with tonic and you still have a tasty drink.

Can I use another alcohol besides plain vodka?

Absolutely! Here are 3 of our favorites!
Rum- use plain rum or give it an extra spike of smooth citrus flavor and use Bacardi Limon Rum. One sip and you will be in love.
Gin- Looking for a drier cocktail? We are huge gin fans so gin is always a great answer. The piney flavor cuts the sweetness of the lemonade even more.
Citrus Vodka- Like things packed with citrus flavor? Amp things up with using a lemon flavored vodka. We love Absolut Citron or Stolichnaya Limon.

How do I make a plain Vodka Lemonade?

It's easy to do and still delicious! Simply omit the elderflower from the recipe and add a half ounce more vodka, top with club soda and enjoy!

Single high ball filled with ice. lemonade and garnished with mint leaves and lemon wedges.

do you mean "freshly squeezed lemon juice" confused because lemonade is lemon juice, water, sugar, etc., so not sure what you mean here in this recipe.

I like to use the fresh lemonade from the grocery store instead of the concentrate from the freezer section, but you can use what you like best!

I like to make this cocktail by boiling water in a kettle., pour into a 32 oz pitcher, add 2 lemons quartered. 1 cup of sugar, 1 tsp salt —stir and let cool. The lemonade should have a salty sweet flavor. Then when you’re ready to make the cocktail...pour 4oz, of lemonade, 1 oz white rum, and 1 oz st. Germain, into a glass and stir well with a little ice. Add a mint sprig for garnish or lemon if you prefer . It’s a beautiful refreshing drink for summer.
