We're Anna and Lisa - two friends who have spent the last 14 years cooking, testing, and texting each other recipes. Garnish with Lemon is what happened when we decided to share that conversation with more people.
What makes a recipe worth publishing?
For a recipe to earn its place on Garnish with Lemon, it has to do four things:
- Deliver on flavor, not just looks.
- Work in a real home kitchen.
- Worth making again.
- Something we'd confidently recommend to a friend.
We revisit older recipes regularly to make sure they still meet that standard. We think that's what the word 'tested' should actually mean.
Our story
We started this site the same way most good things start between friends: with a recommendation.
A genuine 'you have to make this' from someone whose taste you trust. That's still the standard everything on this site is held to.
We only publish recipes we'd make again. Ones that have earned a spot in our own regular rotation and that we'd confidently put in front of people we care about
