At Garnish with Lemon, I'm the one behind the camera, and the one who won't let a recipe go live until it's right. I develop and test recipes alongside Lisa and bring an editorial eye to everything - from the recipes themselves to how they look on the page. Before co-founding GWL, I spent years in corporate communications - which basically meant I got paid to be picky about words. Turns out that same instinct applies to recipes. If something isn't genuinely good, I'm not going to tell you it is. Life's too short for a disappointing dinner.
What I bring to the kitchen
- A photographer's eye and an editor's instincts - both in the kitchen and on the page
- 14+ years recipe development, testing, and knowing when something isn't quite there yet
- A communications background that makes me genuinely picky about recommendations - I won't suggest something I wouldn't stake my name on
WHY I DO THIS
"I have a pretty simple standard: if I wouldn't make it again, it doesn't go on the site. I think about our readers the same way I think about a friend asking me for a recommendation. I'm not going to send you into a grocery store for ingredients that won't pay off. That matters to me. It always has."

Coconut Lemon Bars
Most lemon bars are good. These are the ones people ask about. The difference is the crust. Coconut adds a chewy, tropical twist that no classic shortbread base can touch. The filling is the same bright, tangy lemon you want, but that crust makes it completely its own thing. If you love lemon desserts, this is the version worth making.
