Notes
Tequila: I always opt for silver or blanco tequila for this margarita. Just be sure you're buying 100% agave blanco tequila (and not one with a number of additives) to ensure a smooth margarita.Pineapple Juice: This pineapple juice has just the right amount of sweetness and is easy to find at any grocery store.Lime Juice: As with all cocktails, fresh is best.Orange Liqueur: You can use Triple Sec, Grand Marnier, or Cointreau. (Cointreau is my fave for this drink.)Variation: Add a little heat to your drink. Try muddling a few jalapeno slices in your shaker before adding the rest of the ingredients. The subtle heat from the jalapeno combined with the pineapple juice is fabulous! If you make this variation ahead of time, don't do it more than 4 hours ahead of time otherwise the jalapeno will overpower the drink.
