Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a jelly roll pan with foil and place a baking rack on top.
Cut bacon in half lengthwise and place on rack so pieces are not touching. Bake for 10 minutes.
1 pound bacon
Put chili powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper in a small bowl and stir to combine.
½ Teaspoon chili powder,
½ Teaspoon garlic powder,
1 Teaspoon smoked paprika,
1 Teaspoon kosher salt,
1 Teaspoon black pepper
Place shrimp in a medium bowl, sprinkle spices on and toss to coat.
1 pound large shrimp
Remove bacon from oven and wrap the bacon around the shrimp, spiraling as you go up and ending right below tail.
Return pan to oven and bake for 20 minutes or until bacon is crisp and shrimp is cooked.
Remove from oven and brush shrimp with bbq sauce
⅓ Cup bbq sauce
Remove shrimp from rack and place on tray . Serve immediately.
