Fill a low ball glass with ice and add Aperol and Club Soda.
2 ounces Aperol, 3 ounces Club Soda
Stir with a bar spoon to combine and garnish with an orange wedge.
1 wedge Blood Orange
Notes
Notes:Aperol: Aperol is best when it is stored in the refrigerator after it has been opened to keep its fresh flavor.ClubSoda: When half of your drink is a mixer, use the best quality club soda you can find. We like to use Q Club Soda or Fever Tree Club Soda.Blood Oranges: The deep hue of a blood orange is gorgeous in this cocktail. If blood oranges aren't in season, feel free to use a regular orange or lemon in its place.Use lots of ice and make sure it is of high quality. Not all ice is created equal, some ice made in a home freezer can have an off flavor. I love to keep a bag of ice cubes on hand to use in cocktails.
