We’re hosting both families for Easter brunch this year, which is wonderful for me because I love an excuse to indulge in anything breakfast-related. And since we’re celebrating Easter, I wanted to kick off the festivities with a fun brunch cocktail. I was looking for something more unique than your typical options (mimosas, bellinis) when I stumbled upon this Ginger Grapefruit Sparkler. It was truly love at first sip.
Ginger and grapefruit are unlikely friends because they both have such strong flavors, but they marry together beautifully in this cocktail. The spice of the ginger liqueur is a tasty partner to the tangy grapefruit juice, and both are gently mellowed with the bubbly topping of prosecco. And the color! It’s like a refreshing breath of spring air after months of staring at the drifts of white (and now dirty-white-brown) snow in my yard. Soooo pretty!

- 1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice
- ½ ounce Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
- 3-4 ounces prosecco
- Pour the juice and liqueur into a champagne flute. Top with prosecco.
