These Spiced Pumpkin Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting are a delicious way to kick off your fall baking.
Last week was unseasonably cool here which makes me want to do nothing more than crank up the oven and start my fall baking. We’ve been dabbling in a lot of apple recipes lately, which are perfect for everyone making their annual trips to the orchards, but now it’s time to turn our attention to another fall baking star: pumpkin. And we’re kicking off pumpkin season with a classic: Spiced Pumpkin Cookies with Cream Cheese Frosting.
Sweet fall flavors are at their finest in this Maple Apple Upside Down Cake.
I know apple pie is number one in the hearts of many of you when it comes to apple desserts. And not that I blame you, especially after tasting Lisa’s handiwork. (Man, that woman can bake some serious pie!) But just give me one bite of this Maple Apple Upside Down Cake, and then let’s compare best apple dessert notes. ‘Cuz I’m totally smitten with this cake, and I’m pretty sure you will be, too.
Have some apples to use up from the orchard? Make these Caramel Apple Rolls. They have apples, cinnamon and caramel in every bite!
Caramel Apple Rolls. Enough said, right?
I could stop right there, and everyone would be happy, especially at our apple-lovin’ house. Except I need you to know how ridiculously easy these Caramel Apple Rolls are to make. Sure you need to wait for them to get nice and fluffy before you bake them, but it’s worth every second. I used frozen sweet dough to cut the prep time and having to futz with yeast. So if waiting is the hardest part of these Caramel Apple Rolls, sign me up.
Individual Apple Hand Pies are a tasty way to make sure everyone gets some appley goodness!
Apple season is right around the corner, and let me tell you, this makes my husband a happy man. Kevin could eat all the apple things, all the time. So naturally I’m always looking for new ways for him to get his apple fix. And that means I’ve got a few tasty treats coming your way. Without further ado, I’m officially kicking off apple season with these warm-from-the-oven Apple Hand Pies.
Chocolate Zucchini Muffins are a tasty treat to make with the August bumper crop of zucchini.
August = zucchini season.
At the beginning of zucchini season, I’m all over this simple but tasty Grilled Zucchini. We then move on to more using zucchini in more inventive ways, like in these Zucchini Feta Fritters. I almost always make a couple loaves of Zucchini Bread with Craisins at one time to throw in the freezer for the middle of winter. But then the family gets zucchinied (is that a word?) out, and I need to get creative with our zucchini intake.
I’ve never been a big fan of hiding vegetables in my kids’ food. I always want them to know what they are eating because it’s important they learn how to lead a healthy lifestyle. But sometimes a girl has to do what a girl has to do. And that is where the Chocolate Zucchini Muffins come into play.
